PGA Rods
TecoMax PGA rods are manufactured through melt extrusion process using virgin TecoMax PGA resin pellets. The process begins with drying the resin to super low moisture level and then the dried resin is melted under controlled temperature zones. Once molten, the PGA is forced through a die to form a continuous cylindrical profile. The extruded rod is then cooled slowly under temperature control to minimize internal stresses, and annealed to further relieve residual stress and improve dimensional stability.
Quality control includes diameter checks, surface inspection, and mechanical testing (e.g. tensile strength, elongation at break) to ensure compliance with ASTM or ISO standards.
TecoMax PGA rods are offered in various diameters ranging from 1 inch to 5 inches, and packaged in vacuumed moisture proof bags.
